is a department relying on volunteers to respond to emergencies in and around our community.
How To Volunteer For Our Firefighter Program or Auxiliary Team
1. Fill out our application below, and return it to Maxwell Fire Dept @ 9655 Tx 142 Maxwell Tx 78656
(You will need to provide a valid Drivers License, Social Security Card and agree to a background check.)
2. After your background check has cleared,
you will be invited to one of our training meetings on Wednesday nights
Once accepted by our Fire Board , you can begin attending our meetings and trainings.
(Note, there is a six month probation period before becoming a full member.)

Join Our Auxiliary Team
No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and serve.
We’re looking for dedicated men and women who are eager to support their community!
As a member of our Auxiliary Team, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Learn the basics of firefighting while working alongside our staff, assisting in community outreach including planning and execution of community events, education, and safety training. Other opportunities may involve cooking meals for firefighters, handing out waters at fire scenes, helping tidy up the station, helping with paperwork, anything and everything to free up firefighters to be more safe and available for emergencies.

Join Our Driver Apparatus Team
Must be able to pass our emergency vehicle driver training class, provide an up to date Texas Department of Public Safety driving record, provide personal auto insurance and provide a valid drivers license.
